Krystallia Sakellariou is a Swedish artist working mainly with installation and stop-motion animation. In her large, site-specific installations she merges sculpture and photography into architecture, creating a series of ephemeral spatialities in which separated spaces, or universes, are temporarily and poetically connected. In the process she brings together personal and collected stories, assembled objects, space, light and illusion to explore notions related to personal memories and the passing of time, the concept of home and affiliation, isolation, exclusion, and our longing for utopias.
